National Grammar Day

Grammar mavens rejoice! The Society for the Promotion of Good Grammar has established a national day of recognition just for you: National Grammar Day!

Now, how to celebrate? Well, SPOGG suggests planning a Good-Grammar Potluck with high-fiber foods because they’re good for the colon. Get it? Um, ew. The organization also offers a recipe for a Grammartini.

But the best idea is the site’s Bad Grammar Hall of Fame Playlist, featuring songs beloved despite their bad grammar. Selections include “Touch Me” by the Doors, “Martha My Dear” by the Beatles, and “Lay Lady Lay” by Bob Dylan.

How about you? How are you celebrating National Grammar Day?
